Caramelized Onion Apple Brie Pizza

Caramelized Onion Apple Brie Pizza

Delicious pizza! Who doesn't like it? Really, only few would ever say no to pizza.
This particular recipe is simply amazing! It's sweet, salty and creamy, all at the same time.  The caramelized onions offers a luscious sweetness that is well balanced by the saltiness of the ham and tartness of the apples. The melted creamy cheeses offer the perfect stage for all these tasty bold flavors to dance.

Curry Chicken Rice with Snow Peas and Mushrooms

Curry Chicken Rice with Snow Peas and Mushrooms

To me this dish is comfort food and it was first taught to me by my mother. When I say taught, I don't mean she actually kept me by her side while she cooked or shared a secret recipe, I mean she made it often enough and I loved it so much that I learned the taste of it.
Since then, I grew up, moved quite a bit, learned of new ingredients, techniques and cultures, and therefore have developed my own version of the Curry Chicken Rice.
Today I share this recipe with you and I really hope you and your family like it as much as I've had since I was a little kid.

Drunken Pears

Drunken Pears
This recipe is an oldie! It reminds me of Sunday dinners at my grandma's house. Easy, delicious and in a way, refreshing.
Very versatile, you can eat this wine soaked fruit by itself, serve it with ice-cream or whipped cream and even use it as pie filling if you wish.

Mushroom Stuffed Eggplant

Mushroom Stuffed Eggplant

Eggplant is one of my favorite vegetables and every time I go to the grocery store if they are looking good, I buy them. This also means that during the summer months I'm buying eggplants pretty much every week.
This vegetarian recipe for stuffed eggplant is one of my favorites and what makes it extra special is that it can become a vegan recipe, if you take out the cheeses.

Yummy Falafel Burgers

Yummy Falafel Burgers

I'm not really a vegetarian, but lately I've been developing an ever growing curiosity for vegetarian and vegan meals. The creativity involved into adapting and substituting ingredients and at the same time guaranteeing the recipes include all the proteins and nutrients our bodies need fascinates me.
On a nice and warm week evening, instead of regular meat burgers, I decided to try a vegetarian version - Falafel Burgers.
These spicy patties won me over! Crisp on the outside, moist on the inside with nice chickpea chunks... YUM! If reduced in size, they are also a great option for Hors d'oeuvre.

Oven Fried Zucchini Rings

Oven Fried Zucchini Rings

Lately I've been seeing quite a few pins of oven "fried" zucchini on Pinterest and I have to admit I was SUPER skeptical of them. The reason for my doubts was that zucchinis have too much water and every time I tried to roast them, my oven ended up looking like a sauna.
But today I had a last lonely zucchini in my fridge and decided to figure out how to oven fry it.
And in case you are wondering, no, I have not read recipes on how to do it. I decided to go the long way and figure out myself.

Avocado Milk Buns

Avocado Milk Buns
Avocado Milk Buns

While browsing the net , I found a few articles suggesting that butter could be substituted by avocado - due to its fat content - in most baking recipes, on a scale of 1 to 1. Intrigued, I decided to try the theory and baked my delicious Milk Buns recipe using avocados.
The result was astoundingly delicious! And in case you worry about the avocado flavor and color, you can't really notice them. ;)
